Bus Stop Reminder System Using GPS

A bus stop reminder system is designed in this project to inform passengers when the bus stop of their choice is about to arrive. The Raspberry Pi Pico handles the GPS data, and a GPS module (NEO-6M) is used to track the bus's whereabouts in real time. When the bus approaches the designated stop, a buzzer or LED is triggered, assisting passengers in getting off at the proper location. The Haversine formula is used by the system to determine the distance between the bus and the stop. A warning can be turned on when the bus reaches a predetermined distance, such as 100 meters. This easy, inexpensive solution keeps customers from missing their stop, improving their transportation experience.
