IoT-Based Smart Vehicle Crash Tracking System

This project proposes to enhance road safety by developing a system that provides location tracking and real-time crash detection. The system detects abrupt impacts that could be indications of a collision by integrating an ESP32 microcontroller with an MPU6050 accelerometer and gyroscope. To acquire the vehicle's exact coordinates after detection, the system turns on a GPS module and transmits the information to a cloud-based platform such as Firebase. SMS notifications can also be provided using a GSM module for failsafe communication in places with inadequate internet availability. This enables prompt notifications to authorities or emergency contacts, speeding up reaction times and possibly saving lives. Additionally, real-time vehicle monitoring is made possible by an intuitive dashboard. One of the most significant devices for increasing road safety is this scalable and effective system, which enhances post-accident response.
