IoT-Based Smart Road Divider System for Traffic Management

The objective of this project is to manage urban traffic through the development of a system that dynamically modifies road barriers in response to current traffic density. The technology uses cameras and ultrasonic and infrared sensors to gather traffic data, which is then processed by machine learning algorithms. A Firebase cloud server receives data from the ESP8266 microcontroller, allowing for remote control and monitoring using a web or mobile interface. Especially during peak hours, linear actuators enhance lane use by adjusting the divider's position. For easy contact with traffic management authorities, the system integrates LoRa and Wi-Fi modules. This economical, scalable technology increases traffic flow, lessens congestion, and raises road safety. It provides a flexible method of managing traffic in smart cities by automating lane changes in response to current conditions.
