Glider Design and Development for Enhanced Performance

The objective of this project is to design and construct a lightweight, high-performance glider model that will provide stability and longer flight times. To attain the ideal lift-to-drag ratio, the glider's airframe and wing structure are improved with strengthened materials and parts that are 3D-printed. For increased aerodynamic efficiency, the wing design incorporates elements consisting of tapered tips and dihedral angles. The design incorporates a small cargo compartment and uses careful weight distribution to ensure structural integrity. To evaluate glide distance, stability, and maneuverability in a range of wind conditions, flight tests are carried out. The project emphasizes important facets of aerodynamics, material selection, and structural design through the use of digital simulations and real-world testing.
