The objective of this project is to enhance vehicle mobility with the least amount of human involvement by designing and developing a pneumatic power steering system. Compressed air is used as a power source by the system to assist in turning the steering mechanism. An air compressor, valves, and a pneumatic cylinder are essential parts that are incorporated with a traditional steering system. The study investigates how controlled air pressure can help lessen the amount of physical force needed for steering, especially in off-road situations or heavier vehicles. To assess response time, turning radius, and operational efficiency, a scaled prototype is created. The system provides an inexpensive, energy-efficient substitute for hydraulic and electric steering mechanisms by using pneumatic technology.
